I think the LGCS should clarify how item creation works when you're creating up to 5 items with total DMG value up to 5,000 gp, but some of the individual items are above 1,000 gp in DMG value. I have four characters capable of scribing scrolls of 5th level spells, and I've always assumed scribing a 5th level, 9th caster level scroll (1,125 gp) requires two of five days. However, the parenthetical (1,000 gp per day) never says if it's an aside indicating how the 5,000 gp figure is calculated, or an indication of how each day is spent. If my understanding of the rule is correct, then you could add a sentence between the two sentences in the first bullet point of p. 55: "For each 1,000 gp or fraction thereof of the item's base price, one of the five days is used." In addition, the example given on p. 55 does not correspond to the sample MICL on p. 58. I suggest they be the same. (You could also add something in the Character Name, Player Name, and RPGA Number blanks at the top of the sample MICL. It would further clarify matters for the example magic item creation to have Mialee, a 9th level wizard, scribe a scroll of teleport (2/5 time units) and the three items already in the example.
