| Rerednaw08-30-07, 05:38 PM | I know that cohorts are not allowed to make items in LG. My question is can you use a cohort for purposes of spell casting only? For that matter, can paid NPC spell casting be used? My inclination and intepretation of the LGCS is no. You can craft any item for which you meet the crafting prerequisites and which either appears in Appendix 4: Open Items or you have ever had access to purchase in the Items Found section of any AR. However I am curious if anyone has coe across a different ruling. |

| paigeoliver09-05-07, 07:53 AM | Note, there is at least one special cohort out there with very limited crafting abilities (Brie). She is a bard and can upgrade magic items made out of cloth, but the main PC pays all associated costs (XP, TU, gold), and fills out the paperwork as if they had done the upgrades themselves. I guess it is possible that there are other similar cohorts out there. Although that cohort was from a year 5 regional special and was a "one player per table" reward, so there is a very high likelihood that no one ever even used her. |
