01-31-07, 11:31 PM Can Divine spells casters teach limited access spells to each other?

I know if a wizard PC has a limited spell in his book another wizard PC can copy it from his friends book.

But what happens if a Druid had access to learn a Limited spell. Can that PC in turn teach another Druid PC the spell??

01-31-07, 11:36 PM Actually, wizards aren't supposed to scribe Limited spells from other wizards' spellbooks (I think, I really am not sure on this one). So probably not.

Question: Can my PC copy a non-core spell out of another PC's spellbook and have it noted in the play notes section of my adventure record?
Answer: No. You must have campaign or regional documentation to have a spell appearing on the limited list. A note in the play notes section of your adventure record does not qualify.

So neither arcane nor divine casters can teach limited spells to someone who doesn't already have access.

02-01-07, 02:23 PM There is very little characters can teach each other, beyond combat tactics and interesting uses of spells or spell choices or advice on how to fight a certain monster. "Use lightning on devils but not demons" told to the warmage means the guy without kn planes will know what to do IF he's right about the fact he's fighting a devil. He might use lightning later to identify which is which, or he might have a curse from a certain retired regional that makes all devils invisible to him or someone else in the party may say "they're devils" and he'll know to use lightning without asking (if the other party member is right. I've had that backfire a couple times when people who didn't know guessed wrong, or when the monster was in disguise)

The other thing you can sometimes get from another player is weird PRC requirements as in "you must be inducted by another member" from Seeker of Misty Isle. The LGCS spells out if/when that's possible.

Mostly though, characters are islands.
