First time playing in an LG campaign in a couple weeks. Do I -have- to use the official LG character sheet or is a regular D&D Deluxe character sheet acceptable?

I believe that the common understanding is something that isn't so unusual that the DM has to actually try to figure it out. So basically something standard should work.

Yes, Britt said something to the effect of 'as long as the DM can figure it out quickly, that's fine - the rule is there to prevent people from bringing characters on a napkin.'

I use Ema's Character sheets myself, mostly because I like how extra attacks are put on the sheet and arrangement of info. Plus the animal/familiar sheets are handy as heck.

But anything where the DM can easily see what your spot check modifier is when curious or look over your character without a ten minute lull in the game should be fine.

I have a copy of the LG character sheet in a photoediting format. If anyone wants it, they're welcome.

I type everything directly on there in photoshop, so it looks like a form-fill pdf, all nice and typed (plus you can use different fonts depending on style, etc.)

I've also got two modified ones with more melee weapon fields (for the "DR golf-bag" type fighter :D)

Which I've done all too often. Good thing people don't call me on that!

I use Heroforge char sheets myself, as it's just so easy to update characters as they level and it takes care of a lot of stuff automatically. As has been said before, anything easy to read is fine.

Happens sometimes.
I've lost track of the number of times I've forgotten a character and the nearest source of paper was a bar with a ready supply of cocktail napkins and paper towels in the john.

Oh wait, actually that's never happened to me...
