Just wondering because I have seen older ones on a schedule sometimes and didn't know if that was leftover from another year or if older Intro mods can still be run no matter the year.

Yes, they do eventually retire.

I think that each region is allowed a certain number of active Intro modules. When new ones get published, the older ones get retired...but, depending on how quickly a particular region gets them done, this may mean that an Intro from a year that's now generally retired may still be available.

Nyrond retires them on the same schedule as others. We don't have any year 7 intros yet, so currently only have four available. This isn't universal.

Ed, I thought it was 4? (I could be wrong, I've only ordered the 4 latest available Veluna ones.)

I heard 10 from my Triad this weekend.

The triad is incorrect. It is 8 active rounds of intro mods. It is completely up to the individual triad to decide which adventure retires when in case of intro's. Of course, it is best to keep a reasonable renewal rate if at all possible, and I know for sure that most European regions would be quite jalous on any region that could keep up a regular retirement schedule ;)

Well, you guys can only get so much done...what with the mandatory 35 hour work week ;)

(and yes, before anyone says anything, I know the 35 hour week is only in France, c'est une plaisanterie ;))...

::shrug:: It is 40 hours in the Netherlands, although if necessary I certainly can be asked to work longer. Time though is not necessarily the biggest problem, the language and the fact that the gaming community is less organized are. Everybody should remember though that writing an adventure takes a lot of time and efford. I have seen more people fail at it than succeed, and of those that succeed more than half never wrote a second one.

In my defense and the Triads I think we were both drinking at the time.

The best ideas occur during a drinking binch.
The problem is that most of them are forgotten once you sobered up :P
