I asked this on Infinite Monkeys with no reply. So....

If a multi classed cleric/other (such as cleric/druid, cleric/favored
soul, etc) has Divine Spontaneity, can he convert Other spells to
domain spells?

If the character gains an extra domain, such as via RSoP or
Contemplative, can the extra domain be associated with the non-cleric
class, per the Extra Domain rules of CW?

Does a Cleric 1/ Druid 5 / RSoP 5, who is taking add'l spellcasting in
druid rather than cleric, cast bonus domain as Cleric 1, or Druid 10?
Can he burn druidic spells via Domain Spont (bonus domain)? Can he
burn druidic spells for his two regular cleric domains if he also has
Domain Spont (base domain)?

There is no issue with cleric/favored soul becuase favoreds souls do not prepare spells, and domain spontanaity only allows you to convert prepared divine spells. As far as a cleric/druid combo, the feat itself does not limit it just cleric spells, most probably because it IS possible for other classes to get domains. So while it is horrendously sub-optimal to mix druid+cleric, in the event you have, then RAW you can use domain spontanaeity to convert prepared druid spell into spells from the selected domain. As far as to which class to apply bonus domains to, that appears to be player's choice.

That depends on how you read it - a Cleric 1/Druid 11 - his Druid levels do not actually have access to the Cleric domains. Along the lines that the same Druid cannot spontaneously cast cure spells because he has a level in Cleric.

From the FAQ:
Can a cleric/wizard lose a prepared wizard spell to
spontaneously cast a cure spell?
No. The cleric or druid’s spontaneous casting option
applies only to spells from the same class.

Based on this FAQ entry, it does seem to make sense for Domain Spontaneity to only apply to spells from the class with the domain. If a Druid/Cleric/Contemplative applies the bonus domain to his druid casting however, then you could burn druid spells for domain spontaneity of that domain because that is the class with access to that domain.

Except in that case, he's a Cleric - the adding a domain rules only apply when you're not a cleric.

The exception would be something along the lines of a Druid who got Turning and a Domain without a level in Cleric - Druid X/Contemplative 1/Master of Radiance 1 or something similar(not sure offhand if Druid can possibly qualify for Sacred Exorcist)

Master of Radiance doesn't grant turning, only advances it. But you are assuming that if you have cleric levels that bonus domains are automatically applied to your cleric class. It becomes a grey area. We know that for instance a Paladin14/Church Inquisitor 5 gains the inquisition domain and it is applied to the paladin class. And a cleric with no other casting classes would apply the bonus domain to his cleric levels. Is a Paladin 14/Cleric 1/Church Inquisitor 5 forced to apply the bonus domain to his cleric levels? Or does he get to choose which class to apply it to? The rules don't specify, but generally you get to apply bonuses in the manner most beneficial, so I'd say the character can choose which casting class to apply the domain too.

This is the heart of the matter, as I see it. The Extra Domain section in CD starts the entire section on dealing with domains for non-clerics with a vital "If..." clause, that tends to read that you may not apply domains to non-cleric classes if you have a cleric level.

That's still an assumption. The extra domain section gives 3 examples of characters getting extra domains. One is a straight paladin, one straight cleric, and one straight sorcerer. It completely fails to address the possiblity of combinations.

That's still an assumption.

There may be an assumption, but I don't think that it is in the interpretation, but is in the design. The extra domain rules say, outlined:

1) Sometimes a character can have extra domains.
2) If the character is a non-cleric, this is how to handle it.
a...(detailed rules for non-clerics with domains)
3) Here are some examples.
a...(paladin, cleric, sorc examples)

For a cleric, the second paragraph is silent, because it is only addressing the case of the non-cleric. A multi-classed cleric is not a non-cleric.

The assumption is that any cleric who gains an extra domain doesn't need any special rules to accomodate the domain.

A druid with Well Read could qualify for Contemplative, take the Good domain, and then qualify for Sacred Exorcist. Convoluted, but a possible path to Domain Spontaneity or other turning feat.

With all of the caveats about Customer Service not being binding, I asked C.S. and this is the exchange:

Q: If a multiclassed character cleric gains an extra domain, is it always associated with the cleric class? Example: a Cleric 1 / Druid 6 / Radiant Servant of Pelor 5 (extra spellcasting assigned to druid) gains an extra domain at RSoP 5. Does he have only the extra domain as a cleric 1 (an extra option for 1st level domain), or does he get domain slots for spell levels 1-6 for that one domain, based upon his druid level?

A: Technically yes. It would be associated with the cleric class. The Complete Divine section on extra domains only applies to Nonclerics.
So in this case it would only apply to your cleric 1.
