Can a druid use Augment Summoning on his companion? Is Augment Summoning worth 2 feats? I'm getting ready to start a new PC and have been debating on a Druid or a Marshall (with a lot of fighter levels and an archer build)? HELP

Nope. Read the description of the feat. Your animal companion isn't brought via a summon spell; it's a class feature, and there's no spell that goes into it. Since Augment Summoning only works on creatures you conjure via summon spells, it doesn't do anything for the companion.

I'm sorry, I should have went into more detail earlier. I was under the same assumption, but on pg 66 of The Complete Warrior it list an augmented companion (Grishka)?

Thanks

Was Nature's Warrior around in one of the 3.0 splat books? If so, the mistake could be explained by a simple copy/paste error. That would also why the wolf is listed as a "Magical beast (augmented animal)" -- druid animal companions, per the 3.5 PHB errata, are not magical beasts, just superior animals of their kind...

That really depends on what kind of Druid Archtype you want to play (Summoner/Wildshaper/Animal Companion and Party buffer/Spellcaster). It sounds like you are going for party support which a summoning Druid is great at. Then yes these two feats are worth it. The key thing for this Archtype is to not dilute you spellcasting progression. You should also look at taking Rapid Spell. I am not a true beleiver of this feat but several other folks swear by it.

when planning your druid from level 1 on as a summoner AND you are human, therefore having a bonus feat at level one that is strongly limited in choice (BAB 0 blocks lots of the weapon/combat feats, third level rule blocks lots of fancy feats from complete anything) i see the two feats as a valuable combination.

my druid wasn't as thourogly planned and is a halfling, i took rapid spell at level 9 and found it quite usefull, as it only costs ONE feat.

the combination of augmented summoning AND rapid spell will give tough critters FAST. definitely useful :)

I have a human druid & I took:

1 Spell Focus(Conj)
- Augment Summoning
3 Rapid Spell
6 Natural Spell

I think its worth it - You are pretty good at one thing: summoning more-powerful-than-average animals, and you can fill a lot of party roles in a pinch, with a decent HP, BAB, AC and saves. Rapid Spell is useful in some combat situations because when you get surprised 1 - 3 wolves now is sometimes better than a dire wolf next round. I find Rapid spell and natural spell have their uses, but I think they are just one of many good feat options for a druid.

The big downside of being a summoner with Augment Summoning is it takes a lot of organization on your part, because people at the table will expect you to have the animal's augmented stats either memorized or handy so your turn goes smoothly with an animal companion and a bunch of summoned creatures. Also, summoning as a tactic doesn't work very well before level 3.

For this matter, I would suggest the use of index cards or like. Prepare individual monster/animal types on seperate cards. That way, you can have all the information you need fast.

I term them my "summoning deck". Lol~

I suggest using the following for a "summoning deck":

http://www.wizards.com/rpga/downloads/TGM_Initiative_Cards_Fantasy.zip

Just use the monster cards. And fill up all the info that you need.

and don't forget to print the "enlarged animal" version on the backside :)

Ah... I use the back for other things like Spell-Like Abilities and other Skills (since the cards allow you to input 6 Skills only).

Enlarged version is a good idea, if you intend to use it on your summoned.

For me, I'm a Cleric. So I don't need that. :P
