What does this mean, and what are the effects for the character? XP gain? Gold gain? I would assume no favors or access from the AR, though. Kinevon, the confused... |

What does this mean, and what are the effects for the character? It means that when you hear things you should check them out to be true or not. In this case it's NOT true. If you eat a module you only get the thanks of those for which you ran it and nothing else. Other campaign systems give small rewards for doing so (an XP amount that can be applied to a PC of yours, etc). -James |

I've eaten umpteen regional mods to create a gaming group that enjoyed LG and were willing to share the load. In a perfect world the authors, reviewers, circle and triads run all kinds of Slot 0's to ensure no one eats a mod ever. Those who 0 the mods go out and run at the conventions where they and the players then trickle out and spread the wealth. This isn't a perfect world. It is a hobby where folks have limited time to get together and make sure no one eats a mod. One of the nice things I hear about LFR is the "regionals" will be open for play everywhere. This means each guy in your group picks a region and eats all of those mods to run for the group. He then gets to play the other, what, 11 regions worth of play along with "Cores" and possibly "Metaregionals" (all of this assumes a structure vaguely like LG mod wise though I know I'm right about the "regionals"). This way you get all the play you could possibly want at the minimal cost of not getting to play through one regions story lines. Not a huge loss. |
