Within the greyhawk ruins documentation, a member of the Wizards Guild can donate a magic item to the guild to gain influence. However it is not clear how this takes place in out of game tech. In LG terms does that mean that:

a) The item is bought and the AR with gold by a player then lost to the guild.

b) It is given to the guild and AR access is lost to the item by the PC or Party.

c) It is given to the guild and AR access is lost and the value of the item is removed from any collected wealth in the scenario, possibly reducing the treasure cap.

Grateful for confirmation

d) Can a character craft an item and donate it to the Guild?

e) Can a character scribe a scroll and donate it?

I imagine that this would not work any differently from items destroyed by rolling a 1 on your save.

It is marked in the notes section on your AR and the DM initials/signs that comment.

There may at some point be some documentation for tracking Affiliation Points.

In the meantime you can't get any permanent benefit from things like overcap gold so you can't donate in-module and keep the points: you'd have to buy it (or craft it -can't see any reason why not) and then hand it over (cross it off your MIL) but there's no reason you can't use it in between.
