Britt 11-26-06, 12:38 PM	Actually, LM is Libris Mortis. Lords of Madness would probably be LoM. They are close enough, though, that it would probably make sense to use different acronyms *shrug*
Akhamshyy 11-26-06, 03:34 PM	Hey, I'm just giving you what I've seen WoTC use. I've yet to take a comprehensive look at the LG writer's guildlines to see if it's written out there. If it isn't it'd be a good place to put it for later use with several books having similar abbreviation possibilities.
Britt 11-26-06, 03:50 PM	And it's useful, don't get me wrong. I was just telling you what I've seen used, and that's the first time I've ever seen Libris Mortis as LI. Do you have a link to WotC abbreviations? There used to be one somewhere, but I can't find it now. Granted, I didn't look very hard :) It wouldn't be in the LG Writer's Guidelines, as they haven't been updated recently, unless I missed it.
Akhamshyy 11-26-06, 04:04 PM	I've seen a few lists in the "other" campaigns run by WoTC. Newest one I've seen is in the campaign standards for Xendrik Expeditions. I don't have a link, but I'm sure you can find it.
Britt 11-26-06, 04:09 PM	Yep, I have that one in My Documents :) It does, indeed, use the LI/LM notations and references campaign cards. I don't have many campaign cards, so I can't check that. It might be that this is a recent change to clear up confusion. The D2 abbreviation is also different from what I am used to (DMG2); using that nomenclature, I assume PHB2 would be P2.
LGMoses 11-27-06, 12:06 AM	i used the prestige class index article off of the main site to cipher out these abbreviations. LM is Libris Mortis off the AR I'm reading. I get thrown off by the races of stone, masters of the wild references cuz i thought those books are old. thanks for the help.
Britt 11-27-06, 12:44 AM	Races of Stone is newish; Masters of the Wild is definitely old and should no longer be used in LG. There might be some mundane items out of it, but I can't imagine what else.

deltadave 11-28-06, 12:14 PM	take a look on the consolidated lists pages, at the bottom is the Product Key Here is a link to the class list: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lists/class BTW - some of them are different than in the LG, for example LG uses CV for Complete Adventurer and WotC uses CAd for the same product.
