pedr 02-13-07, 01:51 AM	I hadn't noticed it in the previous version of the LGCS (it was on page 4 in the middle of general information about the nature of the campaign) but page 19 of the new LGCS makes clear that all LG DMs must be Herald-level RPGA DMs. This is not a requirement of the RPGA general rules which read: Although it is beneficial, a GM does not have to be an RPGA-certified GM to run a session. However, only RPGA-certified GMs can sanction events with the RPGA, so at least the Senior GM must be RPGA-certified. For information on becoming a certified RPGA GM, please begin by taking the online Herald-Level GM Test at www.wizards.com/rpga. I realise this isn't a change as such, as it was in the previous version, but I'm interested to know why there is this additional requirement beyond the need for the Senior GM to be at least a Herald-level GM. This is easier to achieve now that the examination system is faster and more efficient, but might still cause some difficulties - while I've never asked a non-RPGA judge to DM a Living Greyhawk game I can imagine that it happens at mid-size and larger conventions where the RPGA Senior GM knows and trusts someone to run an LG event despite them never having taken the test. Given that there will always be a sanctioned GM overseeing the event, is this really a necessary requirement?
