You're welcome to play your new PC at any table which will have you, but you're likely to die, even at APL 2. You're better off playing a couple of intro modules to make it to 2nd level, so you can survive longer. That is also helpful if something comes up on an AR that you want to purchase. (Intro modules have no access). Ed |

If given the chance play intros because its harder to play intros (since only lvl 1 characters are allowed) if you can only play APL 4 thats fine to. You can still enjoy the mod and worst case scenerio you recreate the same character which is only a problem if you subcribe to the fallacy that when a character dies you've wasted all the time you've played them. I wouldn't play APL 6 or higher because you won't be able to affect combat which likely means combat is boring for you. |

I've played about 20 intro modules across 5 regions and I've never seen a PC death. I've seen my share of deaths in APL 2 modules (at least 6 including two as a DM) and a couple of near TPK's. IME, judges are more lenient in intro modules. This probably a good thing because intro tables tend to be less balanced than regular tables and are often run with the minimum number of PCs. Ed |
