| RAM02-03-06, 10:00 PM | I would like some consideration to be given to removing or reducing the rule that items can be damaged when a natural 1 is rolled on a saving throw. Given that many items that could be affected have no clear reference for hardness/HP executing this rule could be confusing. The great value that gold and access has upon the campaign cause this to be a very random way of inflicting permament and potentially crippling damage to a character. The chart used favours characters who use heavy armour, tower shields, metal weapons and inexpensive head items due to these items being more durable. This imbalances the effect causing classes that use such items to be advantaged where as characters that are more lightly equiped to be highly susceptable.(this occurance would almost certainly cost a wizard one of their more valuable items: headband, cloak, weapon(if lucky) or clothing/jewelery) This is a rare occurance though one that can be detrimental someones enjoyment of the campaign. I would appreciate any consideration as to wether this usually unitended effect can or should be lessened |

Keep the rules as it is in PHB (same goes for 'remove massive damage death' thread). S.H, the guy from Naerie |
