I can't remember the name, I just remembered he was involved with drinking.

Holy water was blessed beer/ale/mead, holy symbol was a mug or some such...

Does anyone remember which book he's from and his name?

Thanks.

it isn't a dwarven deity but the human oeridian goddess wenta.

yes i am astonished that not every single dwarven clan forswears their traditional gods and covert to the service of the "alewife" :D.

i am tempted to create a dwarven "converter" cleric who is looking to collect more fellow dwarven souls for her :angelhide

He's not a Greyhawk deity, however.

Most of the demihuman (gnome, elf, dwarf, orc, halfling) deities (other than the primary deities of their pantheons, like Moradin or Corellon) in LG were originally created by Roger E. Moore, and featured in a series of Dragon Magazine articles in 1982; they were then featured in the original Unearthed Arcana book (1985). Greyhawk's demihuman pantheons are based on those original pantheons, with a few additions.

In the new Races books, WotC has created a number of new deities for each of the races, including Hanseath. At this point, none of those have been "adopted" into the Greyhawk mythos.

Sadly, no. Can always hope though (update to the deities document?)

I'd rather play a happy dwarf than a dour one (I was waffling between Hanseath and Gendwar Argrim.) I'll keep looking, maybe I'll find another LG-able deity who I can rp with.

Since what you're describing is sort of an atypical dwarf anyway, it might make some sense for him to be worshipping a non-dwarven deity.

a non human is free to worship any (non-evil and not wastri) human deity but not vice versa, so a dwarven follower of wenta might be not too strange a sight.

and wenta would definitely make a good choice for a dwarf :D
