MIC and helm of glorious recovery [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-20-08, 08:06 AM My cleric has access to a helm of glorious recovery. On the AR it refers to the miniatures handbook as the source but does the helm in the MIC replace the one in the MH or do they co-exist. It seems odd that 2 characters could have the helm but it acts differently for each of the 2 characters. ??? Can I craft either, is it up to me?

02-20-08, 08:38 AM The MIC has not superseded any current LG access as it has not been implemented.

This is because the MIC has not been written in to the LGCS as a current core book. Hence it is currently an exception to the 'latest book' rule.

Thus, If the AR says from the miniatures handbook than that is the access you have.

If at any point it the MIC is fully implemented you will the option to:

a) Sell the item at full price

or

b) utilise the MIC version.

Until such a time as this occurs you have access to the Miniatures handbook version.

As of this time there doesn't appear to be any plans to put out a new LGCS.

02-21-08, 04:52 AM Official news in regards whether or not there will be a new LGCS is in the make as we speak. As for the MIC, we are certainly not going to make such a big change. The difficulties involved are just not worth the efford for a campaign that lasts only a few months.

That seems readable as 'no LGCS598', given the usual pattern of post-for-review-and-adoption-at-or-near DDXP/Winter Fantasy from the past.

EXCEPT that with the end of campaign, there might be another paradigm change rule coming for the last 4 months of new content.

Just hope the news posts faster than Sinister Spire....
