Yes. Note, however, that the wearer only gains the AC bonus when unarmored and unencumbered, since the belt clearly states that "this AC bonus functions just like the monk's AC bonus." I say 'interesting' because, if this make it into the FAQ (and I can't see why it wouldn't), it goes against one of the LGCS FAQ questions that has been around since version 2.0 of that document (if not earlier): Q: Does the monk’s belt from the Dungeon Master’s Guide v.3.5 allow me to add my wisdom score to my armor class? A: No. The belt grants +1 AC bonus from the monk chart in the Player’s Handbook v.3.5. It does not grant the Wisdom bonus to armor class. |

In no way would the Sage Advice ruling contradict the (D&D) FAQ, because there are no rulings in that FAQ about monk's belts. My point was simply an observation that the FAQ would contradict what has been an LG house rule since version 2.0 of the LGCS The Sage is just one of many examples of Peter's Principle. So you're saying that Andy Collins, one of the game's designers, doesn't have the competency to answer rules questions? ;) |

| ShinAkuma210-12-06, 11:49 PM | Obviously, LG uses a different rule from standard D&D. It's a different type of campaign, and as such uses some different rules. It's not a "mistake". It's intentional, just like LG ignoring the Polymorph/Wild Shape errata-fiasco. |
