NPC Spellcasting level [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-17-07, 05:00 PM Is the highest npc caster I can find to cast spells for me 13th level? What about bigger cities, can't I find a higher caster their? Or do I just have to wait till a mod provides me one and hope my DM is in a good mood?

It also does depend on what region the pc is from and what the regional rules for npc spellcasting is. Some regions might allow you to get spellcasters of higher levels and some might not have any casters of even 13th due to the lack of those kind of casters there.

Hard to do a link since you'd have to go through different regions' documents to find them. Different regions may have different rules and most of them have a regional website and/or yahoo group for finding out about them.

That link there will allow you to find and check a specific region's site. There you can possibly find it for NPC spellcasting or even on their yahoo group in their pdf docs for the region.

Some more differences is that some regions will also allow you to use influence points to get the higher casting or spend extra TU's to find a person capable of casting it. Otherwise, its hard to point out specifics since I have no idea what region the pc is from and is looking for some higher level casters in.
