I was building a Cleric and wanted to use the Oracle Domain over Knowledge; I have a Complete Divine available to me (where I found it), but the Open Access lists it coming from the Spell Compendium.

I assume that to assign my Cleric the Oracle Domain, it needs to be the Spell Compendium version, correct?

That is correct. I believe that the Spell Compendium Oracle Domain is simply a reprint of the one in Complete Divine. I'm not totally sure however as I do not have both books in front of me at this time.

I just checked over each listing and they are identical with one exception: Spell Compendium doesn't list the gods that qualify. This doesn't impact the game mechanics at all, but I wanted to mention it for the nit-pickers.

Unfortunately, the LGCS does specify that you need the most recent listing of the rule, reprint or not.

Thanks for the answers!

I'll just use the Knowledge Domain (it still gives me roughly the same flavor). I'm going to be helping someone make a character this weekend and wanted to make sure that's the way it worked (I figured it was, but always good to be sure.)

Note that it is the LG Deities document tells you what domains each god gives for use in LG, not the text within Complete Divine.

Since the Oracle printing in CD is identical to the SC printing, you have the most up to date printing available. Thus, feel free to use it. It is unlikely a DM will ever even ask about it, let alone actually give you a hard time about it.
