| haferka02-01-06, 07:10 PM | Problem: Character dies and looses ALL items/gold. Now, the poor Fighter/Barbarian is seriously lack luster against all those nasty creatures that require shiny magic weapons to hurt them. Various methods exist for this to happen, but none exist to rectify the situation. Proposed Solution: Allow characters to earn "over the top" gp untill they are returned to a "respectible" wealth. This gp wealth value would be based on the DMG average wealth charts. Table 4-23 (page 127 DMG) |
| Drezden02-01-06, 07:15 PM | This situation is already covered by the "Charity of Friends" clause. See LGCS 5.0 (draft) pg. 43. You can immediately "get back" 1/4 of the total appropriate wealth for your level by invoking this clause. Daren |

| MatBlack02-01-06, 10:18 PM | keep in mind that "over the top" gold can be used for spellcasting before the mod is over. in a LOT of mods, the "over the top" gold can be substantial, and can often cover the cost of a raise dead... just be sure that you get raised before the end of the mod, and be sure you have the judge calculate all the gold out. |
| DarkKnight02-01-06, 10:19 PM | This is better than the old days of getting only 2gp reward from a mod that had a 12 gp standard upkeep and if you died and managed to be brought back you still had zero gold. Also you can catch back up, you just need to "play down" for a while until you have some new toys. |
