| Silvertears03-22-06, 02:49 PM | Just a quick question on limited PrC access. I haven't played long enough to really know how PrC access works in mods, but I have a quick question. If you play a mod that gives access to a PrC does it usually give it to everyone who plays that mod? (ie, Seeker of the Misty Isle, Rainbow Servant) If so, does it 'last' until you can take the PrC. If I play as a level 2 character who obviously isn't qualified for a PrC, and he gains access to the Seeker PrC, can I take it when I have the correct requirements, or do I have to wait to play a mod that grants access that I can immediatly take at next level? Thanks! (and I hope you all understood that) Silver. |

Sometimes to just one guy (you found the journal of a misty isles guy, but only one player gets to keep the journal). Usually the access goes to anyone, if they did the right thing in the module. The access remains until you are ready to use it, unless the AR says otherwise. I don't think I've ever seen an AR that put a time limit on it, but it isn't impossible. (maybe the NPC that will teach you is gonna die in a year or something) |

(ie, Seeker of the Misty Isle, Rainbow Servant)Not necessarily; I played a mod recently where all 5 players at the table got access to different feats, classes, etc. based on their actions in mod. And in some cases, such access is mutually exclusive, i.e., only one PC is allowed to gain a particular benefit. If so, does it 'last' until you can take the PrC.So far as I am aware, yes. |

A bit excited now as I'm playing a mod over the weekend that is all about elves (at least from the description of it on the con sites), and hoping it'll include some sort of elven PrC access! Although I'm level 2 at the moment, I'd love to be a Seeker! :) Maybe even find some mitrhal in there :) Of course, if it doesn't, I'll deal, but it's kinda nice to dream ;) Silver. |
