So my character is able to buy a darkwood shield now, well I have been, but I'm finally getting around to doing such. The problem is my gnome needs to buy a small shield and thats what adds in the complications.

My AR access doesn't list a price, so I figure I'll use the price in the DMG. Now darkwood shield is a listed item for 257g, which is simply a heavy wooden shield with the cost for darkwood added in. The thing is a small version would normally only cost 207, as the lower shield weight reduces the cost of the darkwood addition.

Do I buy the small version of the listed item, at 257g and half weight, or do I use the appropriate calculation at 207g? All in all its not a big deal either way, but I do want to make the item purchase and item value correct on my ARs in the long run.

Did you get access to the specific Darkwood Shield in the DMG, or did you get access to the Darkwood material?

If the former, I don't know. If the latter, you should be able to buy it as a small shield.

It is the former, which is why I was thinking full list price might be correct. As you said, if it was the latter the cost would be easy to calculate.

I recommend sending an e-mail to whoever issued the AR (Circle/Triad)
