What do you think you did wrong? Did you roll your percentile dice and compare with the reincarnate table?

05-01-07, 12:31 PM I think the problem is likely the adjustment of racial abilities/scores.

You really just do what the spell says...There's not really any room for error.

Remove your race's racial scores to Str, Con, and Dex, replacing them with those of your new race. You lose your racial abilities like Dark/Lowlight vision, racial bonuses to skills, etc, and gain those of your new race.

What did you change from and to? We might be able to tell you specifically what you lost and gained.

I don't know that you lose any racial abilities other than STR, DEX, CON.

According to the spell description you do not lose anything other than STR, DEX, and CON, along with abilities gained that are not related to class, feats, or skill ranks.

I don't thnk that you lose any feats gained for race either. Only modifiers to STR, DEX, and CON.

From the SRD:

A reincarnated creature recalls the majority of its former life and form. It retains any class abilities, feats, or skill ranks it formerly possessed. Its class, base attack bonus, base save bonuses, and hit points are unchanged. Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution scores depend partly on the new body. First eliminate the subject’s racial adjustments (since it is no longer of his previous race) and then apply the adjustments found below to its remaining ability scores. The subject’s level (or Hit Dice) is reduced by 1. If the subject was 1st level, its new Constitution score is reduced by 2. (If this reduction would put its Con at 0 or lower, it can’t be reincarnated). This level/HD loss or Constitution loss cannot be repaired by any means.
