| echoota09-04-06, 03:08 PM | There is an effect on an AR I was wondering about. In order to remove the effect you have to cast Remove Curse at caster level 17. How do you do this? Obviously a PC can't do it and from the sourcebook it looks like the largest city only produces a caster level of 13. So in essence if you get zapped with this effect your stuck with it forever, unless some random future documentation could fix it? |

As a note Martin, there are several curses out there that don't have signposts...I've gotten one from a supposedly good deity for helping said deity out. |

As a note Martin, there are several curses out there that don't have signposts...I've gotten one from a supposedly good deity for helping said deity out. yea, i know about some "no signposts", at least "in-character". a certain module line had a particular deity in it over and over again. some of the modules gave out cool features for followers/service to said deity, and any group who decided/can't-do for "in-character" reasons to go a different course was blocked from certain thingies. and every player knew about what deity to be-nice-to. for the modules, as good as the storyline was in general, the way of handling "goodies" was less than satisfying. ciao martin m. |

Revenge is best served at a battle interactive :) I've got a character who is not a worshipper of that deity, who can use one of those goodies as many times as he wants to per day. I just need to convince someone to let me use it for a few minutes(and I have the bluff check to legitimately do that - the player has every option to allow my character to convince his) Of course, any rational DM will say, "Screw the RAW, I'm not allowing that." But it is fun to watch that decision making process play itself out on their face. |

Opa Bissel Yeah, it's basically a "good" curse but the effect shafts a major skill for many characters. I guess I'll hang onto it for a couple of more mods to see how it plays out, but it has to go eventually. The Bissel interactives I hear aren't all that great, at least to my play style. Far too puzzle driven. Way too many of the mods I've already played have had painful puzzles which emit groans all around and then shut the game down for a half hour. I tend to just have my eyes glaze over and patiently wait for one of the more logical types at the table sort it out. |
| GreatSiron09-07-06, 03:39 PM | If you can find a sublime cord of at least 13th lvl who has remove curse on their spell list, and has maxed perform ranks, they should be able to remove it in a try or two, because one of their songs can up their caster lvl by as much as +4 A 14th lvl wild mage with full progression in their spells can also brake it if they roll a six on there wild magic check, which would up them to 17th. Of course you'd have to be super lucky at an interactive to find either, or be one yourself, but they could both do it. I personally have a curse with the same requirements, but I don't really care to much to go to all the trouble to have it removed, since it doesn't really hinder me that much. |
| Japangirl09-07-06, 06:26 PM | It makes me sad that they moved the retirement age down to 16. I know a 17th level cleric of Wee Jas who has cast a few miracles for me to remove certain curses, but he's retired now. No more miracle-bot. :( |
| Maesto09-07-06, 09:24 PM | A 13th level cleric with divine spell power can pull it off, as can a 13th level cleric with a bead of karma. Hell, a 9th level cleric with divine spell power and a bead of karma can pull it off! |
