Rod of Sure Striking (DMGII) [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-16-07, 08:38 PM I understand that creatures affected by the activation must be adjacent but I have two additional questions:

1. Can creatures move away from the activating creature and still recieve the bonus?

2. Can the activator designate which creatures are affected? (aka only affect allied creatures)

But anyway, IMHO:
1) Yes, they just have to be adjacent at the point of activation of the Rod
2) No, activator has no choice. The rod affect all adjacent to him, friend or foe.
