Quick question:

Can a Mob use the Run action and run over a PC? Essentially overtaking the PC and entering its square.

If it can be read so they can't then that's how I'd run it because Mobs are obnoxiously badly written.

Especially, Ghoul Mobs. Game mechanics makes the mob dissolve after being defeated into 30% dead, 30% at 0 Hit points, and 30% unscathed. Unscathed ghouls still attack. You get mobbed by the mob and then still have to deal with some ghouls (i am using 8 because 16 would be ridiculous). Ghast Mobs are worse and I would really hate to encounter Wight or Wraith Mobs.

i think the worst thing would be a mob of shadows they would deal like 5d6 str damage and you join them when you die

another thing that you should NEVER see but would be creepy

I really have a difficult time imagining the formation of an undead mob. It seems to me that it should take some stimulus that gets the participants all fired up so that they can form their rampaging mob. So, maybe there's some high-Cha necromancer gave them a pep talk first? I dunno.

To pilfer somebody's sig quote:
"What do we want?"
"Braaains."
"When do we want it?"
"...Braaaaaains."

it just needs an insane - eh, i meant "creative" - module writer :D

one character of me faced undead mobs; "only" ghuls, so nothing special, just get in it and roll a save against paralysis - wait, the save DC is WHAT???????

no actually we were lucky, and none of the party got to roll vs. paralysis. albeit there were some harpies behind the mob that tried to lure victims to "just come a little bit closer" :P

everyone, mob and PCs that failed there save vs. the harpies were stuck in an "entangle" casted by my druid :)

mobs are much nicer when they only can move 5-ft/round ;)

How about a mob of dire weasels? Auto damage and then attach, and still able to attach to others, for auto-con damage till you get free....

LBBoA was already in one retired VTF metaregional and it was merely a pseudonatural black pudding. The aarrgg comes from the fact that some priest was writing his journal about the mighty servant that Tharizdun had granted to him. "It is in the pit behind me and I must be careful so it does not....(there is lot of ink spread around to the journal after this)"
