Sacred Fist Movement bonus [Archive] - Wizards Community

The Sacred Fist gains an enhancement bonus to her speed at 3rd level, just as a monk gains this bonus at 3rd level. According to the 'bonus stacking' rules these two enhancement bonuses will not stack.

Since this prestige class seems to be specifcally for Monk/Priest combo, it seems pointless to include a movement bonus that would not stack with one of the class abilities of one of the primary classes require to become a Sacred Fist. In other words, unless one didn't take Monk to 3rd, the bonus would be meaningless.

Since the best use of the class seems to level mostly in Monk (you get caster levels anyway, while you don't get Monk skills based on level) it would seem this bonus is pointless.

NOW, it is interesting to note that the example cited in Complete Divine (p60) shows the sample Sacred Fist with a 60' base move at Priest1/Monk6/Sacred Fist4. As far as I can work out, this includes base move 30 (human) +20 Monk enhancement bonus AND +10 Sacred Fist enhancement bonus.

Have I missed something (I hope so) and do enhancement movement bonuses based on class stack?

PS: I know Barbarian and Celerity Domain bonuses stack because they are 'unnamed' bonuses. I am asking about enhancement bonuses based on class.

Just another example of poor editing in the books. The enhancement bonuses should not stack unless it explicitly states they do. Though IIRC, the Sacred Fist speed bonus works in armor, so if you are a more cleric heavy build, it is more beneficial...

In my experience, it's best to get as much spellcasting as you can with this class. You want to get all the cleric buff spells (Divine Power, Righteous Might, etc) as quickly as possible.
