I asked this in the feats & skills board, but no takers yet. Since this is a legal game piece in Living Greyhawk, I figured I'd ask here.

What's the duration on this feat (a [Wild] feat from Complete Divine)? It's not stated in the errata, and I didn't see it mentioned in the official FAQ.

I would say for the duration of your current wild shape. In other words, you wild shape, use serprents venom, then have the use of it until you use wild shape again or return to your normal form.

You don't have to be in wild shape to use it. You just spend uses of wild shape to do so. Though I do agree that the duration would be equal to that of wild shape since it doesn't specify a shorter duration.

The short description in the table on page 78 says it lasts for 1 minute.

Yes, but text trumps table. Though I'm not how that works when the text is missing something the table is...

"Text trumps table" only applies when there's a disagreement.

Since there is no disagreement, the table is accurate until an errata says otherwise.

Well there is a disagreement. No duration listed in the text implies normal wild shape duration, such as with Stone Form from Races of Stone, which also does not specify a duration and is commonly accepted to last as long as normal wild shape. Sure, it's an implicit disagreement as opposed to explicit, but you can't say the text and table ARE in agreement when the table says something the text doesn't...

Every other Wild feat in the book has a duration that agrees (or does not disagree, in the case of Oaken Resilience) with that of the table.

It makes the most sense to me that the only one with no duration listed in the text should also correspond with the table in the same manner.

Oh, I agree that it is a sensible interpretation of the evidence, it's just that without explicit errata, there is no way of knowing for certain what their intent was. Perhaps the duration listed in the table was in error and they intended it to default to the normal wildshape duration. Or maybe they did just forget to copy and paste the duration from the table into the text. We'll never know without errata...

...Which is just a fancy way of dancing around the question.

We're not going to get an errata...There hasn't been new errata issued in an exceedingly long time. The question is, How long does it last?, and saying to wait for an errata is not an acceptable answer.

Until we get an official answer that states otherwise, we should default to the only source of information we have: The table.

Huh. You know, I don't even bother looking at the tables anymore, so I completely missed the duration listed there.

So, general consensus is that it's best to expect it to last 1 minute, but hope for 1 hour/level (though honestly, if I were DMing, it'd be 1 minute).
