How does the skirmish ability work if mounted? If I'm on a mount and my mount moves more than 10ft. can I take a full round action for my attack and apply skirmish damage?

Specifically, I play a ranger skirmisher. I have taken the Natural Bound feat and thus can have a dire bat as my mount/companion. The bat has a fly of 40’. If my bat flies 40’, while I am ridding it, can I take my full round attack (which includes the rapid fire feat) and apply skirmish damage to my two or three arrows?

Thanks,
Rayous

Skirmish does not apply when mounted. Its in the abilities description.

I don't think the description in CV says that you cannot use the ability when mounted. However, the errata says that you cannot skirmish while mounted.

As per the official Errata for CV, you cannot benefit from skirmish while mounted.

This limits it to Spring Attack, Shot on the Run or Tumble builds.

Shot on the Run is a fairly bad plan too. Move+Manyshot will do more damage ..though I suppose getting out of the 30' zone would be useful.

Dervish is the only really powerful way to do it (unless you can get access to Greater Manyshot but that's in a Psionic Book).
