Now that they're being included in LG, however, we need a ruling made. Since there is no "bonus feat at 8th level" for a Monk, when and how can a Monk take these feats while ignoring their prereqs, if he can, indeed, do so? It's the difference between retraining feats starting at 10th, or being forced to wait until 12th level for me... |
| trollbill02-10-07, 05:29 PM | Hasn't Wizards erattad that yet? I'm sure they meant the bonus 6th level feat. |
| ShinAkuma202-10-07, 06:31 PM | The book has not received errata. If what you say is true, then you could never take Ki Blast as your 6th level bonus feat unless you are a multi-class Monk. Ki Blast requires you to have a +6 BAB to take it as your 6th bonus feat, so unless you're Fighter2/Monk6 (or any other combination to have an extra +2 BAB), you won't qualify. I won't assume that this was intentional. |
| Donald_Cannith02-11-07, 12:28 AM | my bet is someone writing that feat forgottwo things 1) that monks dont get a bonus feat at eighth level but sixth 2.) That monks are not a ful BAB or simply that theBAB is correspondingly off. |
| solbergb02-11-07, 01:15 PM | Note that bonus feats ignore prereqs (see "stunning fist" at level 1, for example - that feat has a hefty BAB prereq normally). so if they had not spazzed and listed it as a correct alternative for improved disarm or trip at L6, all would have been well. |
| ShinAkuma202-11-07, 01:28 PM | Not all bonus feats ignore prereqs. Ki Blast specifically says you need Fiery Fists and BAB +6 to take it as a Monk bonus feat. |
