| MasterWolf404002-04-06, 01:11 PM | I was at a game the other day as the question of does the caster have to see the target or not of a snog spell. The DM and other player decided that if the caster can here the song they are affected by the song. I'm bringing this up because it may conflict with the new rules. |
| JohnduBois02-04-06, 01:15 PM | It depends somewhat on which spells and effects you're talking about. Can you be more specific? |
| MasterWolf404002-04-06, 01:23 PM | It was countersong, but i will have to check. |
| JohnduBois02-04-06, 01:27 PM | Countersong is not a spell. It is a bardic music effect. It, and other bardic music effects, do require that the subject hear the performing bard. Some effects, such as fascinate, require that the bard see the creature or creatures affected. However, unless this is specifically detailed in the ability's description, visual contact is not required. Countersong falls in this latter category. |
