Ok, so I'm sure there is a rule out there somewhere on this, but I don't have my books with me at work, and I can't seem to find it in the SRD.

What I'm wondering is whether poison attacks from the same source stack. For example, say the party is fighting some snakes. The snakes hit, causing the character to make a Fort Save versus poison. The next round the snake hits again and a different snake also hits.

Does this cause two more Fort saves in addition to the first?

If the character fails his saves does he take the initial and secondary effects of the poison all three times?

Just curious...

Poison stacks because it is damage and not a penalty to an ability score. Basically, anything that is damage stacks with itself or with other effects.

Yes, the character in your example better hope he has some way to deal with poison as he needs three saves now and three saves latter.
