| MatBlack02-01-06, 09:28 PM | (copied from another thread with reply) Hello, Can Permanency be permitted so PCs with the Craft Wondrous Item feat can make items like Broom of Flying & Carpet of Flying? Thank you, Bryan (I do not have any arcane casters as characters.) this question seems to come up again and again... i seem to recall there being an official (or semi-official) ruling on it, though i do not remember the outcome. it was either that the items could not be crafted by PCs, or that the permanency prerequisite for that item was ignored. could definitely be added to the FAQ. |
| redgamer02-01-06, 09:53 PM | If the adventure takes more than a week do I have to spend more TUs? See this alot from people who play other living type games. Are we even still pretending that a TU is supposed to be about a week? Adventures take whatever time the author and players makes them take irregarless of TU expenditure and this is how IMO they should be. |
| Britt02-01-06, 09:55 PM | We have never pretended a TU = a week, AFAIK. A TU = an adventuring opportunity. You just so happen to get 52 of them in a year. However, whether something lasts more or less than a week doesn't impact the number of TUs required. |
| redgamer02-01-06, 10:00 PM | Yes, but TU=week is a common misconception. Heck I've seen a triad member explain to a new player that a TU is approximately a week (this happened quite some time ago). If its not a frequent problem however it doesn't need to be in the FAQ |
| Timlagor02-06-06, 09:55 AM | Not all of these are asked frequently and some would fit in other parts of the LGCS but anyway: Does a Prismatic Ray have any effect on creatures with more than 6HD? Does Domain Spontaneity(Healing) allow a Radiant Servant to get extra usage from their free Empower/Maximise? What sort of action is required to go from prone to kneeling and does it provoke an AoO? I'll come back with more when/if I remember them. EDIT: please stop discussing the definition of TUs in this thread. By all means start another. |
| Madfox1102-06-06, 09:59 AM | For anything not adventure related 1 TU tends to be 1 week. The TUs you spend for an adventure though has little to nothing to do with 1 TU = 1 week. |

These are not LG rules questions, they are D&D rules questions and we already have the resource http://wizards.custhelp.com to answer those. |

And that would be just peachy if a) they were consistent b) they were legal in LG I'm not looking for an answer, I'm looking for a ruling. Those three are actually not too bad (unless you are a Sorceror) to allow table variation on but it's still a nuisance and I'd rather have an LG ruling. Can the Improved Weapon Familiarity(Elf) Feat be used for the EWP part of qualifying for the Champion of Corellon Larethian Prestige Class? That's another one people disagree on and it's going to really mess up someone's character to find themselves at a table where the answer is "no" after they've been told it can. [I'd like to see the FAQ removed as a binding LG rules source too so I'm quite used to disappointment but I won't stop asking] |
