Someone mentioned this in another thread in the LG forums and I cannot find this.

Which 3.5 book is this from?

What exactly does it do (other than sound nifty)?

Thanks.

It was an oversized sling that could be used to deliver alchemical substances. Printed in one of the original builder books, it was removed from the campain in the CY595 conversion.

I've seen a few ARs and Meta-Orgs that offer this item, so don't lose hope. If you already have AR access it's still good, as the Gnome Calculus isn't on the Closed list.

It's originally from the Arm & Equipment Guide, if I remember correctly.

It's originally from the Arm & Equipment Guide, if I remember correctly.Correct; it's a sling with 50' range, designed to throw flasks (alchemists fire, oil, acid, holy water, etc.) at that range, and dealing damage as appropriate to the substance thrown. It is still in the campaign, just not Open access (although I'll wager many gnomish meta-orgs might still provide access).

Gnome Calculus is one step above Gnome Algebra....

Step 1: Steal underpants.

Step 3: Profit.

Hey, poking around on the regional websites reveals that 1st level Gnomes can join the "Nebjanow" gnomish meta-org after playing just one BK regional adventure. "Gnome Calculus" is one of the access items.

Once you join, you can't leave, however. Plus you're obligated to attack ogres whenever you can, but I don't think most folks will have a problem with that.

And then the dentist has to use a gnome hooked hammer to scrape them off. Eeew, I hate that scraping sound...

You can get access to it as a member of the PoU's Royal Army.
