Lomiat 02-02-06, 02:54 PM	The last LGCS (4.2) was a bit fuzzy on whether or not casters with the appropriate feats (mainly Craft Wondrous Item) could use scrolls outside their spell lists with UMD to craft items. Could we get a line to clarify this issue? For example, I'd like to know if my Wizard/Loremaster can use ranks in Use Magic Device and divine scrolls to craft items. Also, would I have to automatically be able to succeed? Would I roll the UMD checks before a judge? Would I be able to assume I take 10 (by trying all the scrolls until one casts successfully)? Thanks.
RanielK 02-02-06, 03:09 PM	While your at it, you might consider covering wild mages and crafting. Since every spell has a variable spellcaster level there is the potential for a higher or lower (though not consistently so) CL thus the ability to qualify to craft more things or failing to qualify to craft something you just barely qualified for to begin with.
