Without going into specifics I was prepping a mod and noticed several errors and omissions.

Things from BAB, skills to special qualities were either missing or incorrect.

Normally I'd just report it up to the author of the mod.

Here's the kicker.

It's an adapted.

Do I forward the query to the author of the adaptation or the module? The errors are in the mod itself, NOT the adaptation.

Thanks.

Well the first thing to do is to run it in a way in which you feel comfortable that you're not providing a harder module than the writers intended or the rules allow.

As it's an Adapted, you might get direct answers from wizards.custhelp.com - it's errors in a published WotC product. Alternatively email the LG person who did the adaptation and see what he or she says!

The only Adapted I've read / run is Red Hand of Doom. There are (unofficial) sets of Errata available in various locations thanks to community comments. Red Hand has a Yahoo! support group for RPGA Judges that includes Errata and other advice.

It seems likely that other WotC modules might have had Errata compiled on boards such as WotC or ENWorld. I haven't looked for them though. I suspect that higher levels of LG community support will come out for any mega-modules that are adapted (I'm hoping to see Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk and Expedition to the Demonweb Pits) than the much shorter Fantastic Locations.

It's not so much a mistake as what I feel is an over sight by the writers of City of Malice. What I am refering to is the slave auction that comes up in the mod. A bugbear comes up for sale and I bought it well it survived the mod so I'm perplexed as to if I can keep it or not. I would love to have a Bugbear shirpa or minion and the beast was not given an alignment. So my thinking is it must have the alignment of the person who owns it. If not how do I change it's alignment.

Generally even if the mod as written allows for it, if a thing does not appear on the Adventure Record, you can't take it away from the module.

The only exception is if you have Open access to the thing from another source, like special permission to take a Bugbear cohort for Leadership from an adventure, or meta-org access, or the like.

Bugbears are not in the core LGCS rules as an Open rules option.

If you don't have any such campaign documentation allowing it, assume the Bugbear ran off or otherwise left you after the adventure ended.

As for the alignment thing, I would think it has whatever alignment the Monster Manual says Bugbears normally have.
