I was wanting to see what the general consensus was about which of the Breath Weapons that you receive from Dragon Disciple (or other sources) is the best one ? This assumes of course the basic options for Dragon choices (Brass, Bronze, Silver, Gold)

Copper DD for line of acid is probably best. Least likely to be resisted. Probably Silver next for cone of cold, followed by brass with lightning, then bronze and gold with fire, as it is the most commonly resisted energy type...

have a look at "infernal sorcerer howl" from PHB II p.91, according to the 597 LGCS open access.

get a 30-ft cone that does 2d6 SONIC damage per spell level you fuel it with to OPPONENTS.

very few critters are immune to sonic damage and the effect EXCLUDES your friends.

i am tempted to build one, my home region offers lots of story opportunities for a human with some "infernal blend" background.

That is indeed a nice one - although on the weekend, I had a demonstration of one of the important uses of acid damage, when we fought a beefier-than-normal troll at APL 4. The rest of the party was very very happy to have my copper-draconic gnome sorceress (with Draconic Heritage and Draconic Breath) on the table, she was the only one who could deal lethal damage to it ;)

in a home group we do the "return to the temple of elemental evil" adventure (as i have not been in LG when it was played), i play a sorcerer with draconic heritage and the flame cone, the medium blue dragon was quite impressed :P

as a role play character i am tempted to do a double heritage human sorcerer; celestial & infernal heritage (it is explicitly allowed in the PHB II) and do the chaotic neutral thingy: "flip a coin"

having the 30-ft sonic cone for 2d6/spell slot to opponents AND the 60-ft lance that deals 1d8/spell slot "unnamed" (i assume it is force, but wonderful WotC editing team just felt there was no description necessary, it is just described as "power") damage to evil creatures might be a heavy feat investment but a very interesting character concept.

ok, eating away all feats till level 6 :(
