Whip and Exotic Weapon Master [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-18-06, 07:27 PM The whip reads as follows:

A Whip provokes an attack of opportunity just as if you had used a ranged weapon.

Exotic Weapon Stunt Close Quarters Ranged Combat reads as follows:

A character who knows this stunt doesn't provoke an attack of opportunity when using an exotic ranged weapon.

I'm fairly certain they won't work together, as the whip is an Exotic Melee weapon that provokes as though a ranged weapon... but I want to be sure!

It was a sad day indeed when they didn't include the Lasher PrC in the new set of books. One of my PCs was set up to take exactly that route.
