02-08-07, 08:40 PM I don't think anyone has actually said that yet, right? I'm kind of shocked at the lack of "you can't do this", its more like people seeking compromise. desperately. heh.

I think everyone knew a lot of these harsh changes were long overdue, even us overcheesers.

What's spookiest is the message number. And yes, there have been a few of the obligatory "you're ruining the game," a few standard "this is the last straw and I am quitting LG" (and these same people will most likely be saying the same thing again next year), a heaping helping of "my character is now unplayable," and the normal "I know what's best for the campaign" (even though it has been doing just fine for 7 years now).

I'm just glad the LGCS came out when it did. It's really cut down on most of the howling on the XE boards. :-B

I actually love the new LGCS... I'm in the rare position of playing a druid who will gig his stats, but leave everything else alone...I might even lower my strength... I haven't swung a weapon in at least 9-10 months of solid gaming. :D

I too won't be changing my druid, he has a different type of cheese; the shock trooper spirited lance charge type of cheese.

I wanna be able to whine tooo!!!!

I, too, like the new LGCS for the most part. (although I'm going to miss the "polymorph the paladin's mount into a hyrda" cheese my wife and I used to pull). I will be able to finally fix the error I made with my druid's stats during creation (ie: my first LG mod back in year 1 before I had read the 3.0 rules) thanks to the druid re-jig option, and thanks to retraining I can finally get rid of the useless 'brew potion' feat that I've been stuck with ever since they changed the magic item creation rules from year 1. Other than that, everything else is staying the same. And with respect to my druid's weapon (a +1 scimitar) I finally broke down and sold it. (it was one of my signature items from year 2 of all things) The last time it was used, it wasn't even by me. It was used by a low level dervish in early year 5 so he could have dual magic scimitars. I can probably count on two hands (with fingers left over) the number of times I have rolled an attack roll for my druid since his character creation in October of 2000.
