Alright... first off, hello. :D

Now on to the stupid question! I am new to LG... not the RPGA, just the LG campaign. I was wondering about something that pertains to my long term plans for my character. How often does one run across Mithral chain shirts in the various LG modules? Generally, that is the mainstay, armor wise, of a dex driven melee character (IMO, anyways). I'm sure this varies with the region, as well as being rather random, but I was just wondering.

Hope I don't come across as an idiot in my very first post here, but oh well, that's life, ne?

I've seen a lot of it. My druid had access to mithral from a half-dozen AR's without seeing dragonhide before I broke down and joined an out of region meta-org to be able to purchase a dragonhide breastplate. I suspect it's readily available in Dyvers.

Not sure what region you are in, but the Yeomanry militia grants access to the mithril shirt and quite a few other things. Funny, but I have never seen a Meta-Org that allowed you to be a member without being from the region or living in the region for at least a year real time. Not saying they arent out there, but I have never seen one. Is there a listing of such Orgs? I may be interested in joining a few myself.

Ahh, cool. Thanks for the reply. I'm a Dyvers resident, btw, Cruel.

There are a few of them, but I'm not aware of a list anywhere. My primary Veluna PC is registered with an elven clan in Highfolk, but that is primarily for role-playing (no in-game benefit). The druid is my Highfolk PC, but they changed the meta-org rule so my PC doesn't qualify for her old druidic meta-org and I haven't made it to a con in Wisconsin this year to join a new one.

The Veluna Circle of Life (druid/ranger) is open to residents of neighboring lands and other regions in the VTF meta-region. I'm also at the lowest level in the meta-org, the residency requirements may be stricter at higher levels.

Having been a Dyvers Resident™ until recently, I've seen the access to mithral a few times, and I'm sure there is a meta-org that has it, but I'm not a member.

Also, the Dyvers Anti-Slavery League (DASL) requires you to be a citizen when you join, but doesn't say anything about remaining a citizen, as long as you meet the requrements and pay the upkeep. I'm a County of Urnstman© now, but in-game my character makes regular trips across the Nyr Dyv to adventure in Dyvers and the VTF(read: I go visit my family and I've got a friend who runs home games especially for me).

Dragonhide Breastplate
I've played a VTF module where, at a high enough APL, you can get +3 Green Dragonhide Banded Mail (at least I think that is what it was because I don't have my AR in front of me), but it was only for one character and you did have to defeat a Green Dragon to get it. Luckily a previous VTF module gives you access to Acid Resistance 5.

Unfortunately I played that module with my wizard, who has had access to all sorts of things that my other PCs would like (Dragonhide armor, Darkwood, wands of CLW and CMW, pearls of power).
