juanblan 09-18-05, 02:51 PM	Hello, I have a little problem with divine spells. The campain book sais that until 3rd level, you must choose spells only from the PHB. Is it true for divine spells ? When reaching a higher level, a wizard, when level up, can get two spells from core spells from non core books (complete series for exemple). But what for divine spells (briar web for exemple, from CD) ? Priests don't have to research spells. Have they acces to all core spells when they reach 4th level ? In the Shield Lands Region for exemple, the Meta Org "Church of the healing Sun", as a benefit, give acces to some core spells from non core books : briar web, recitation, and so on... Then i think that priests, above 3rd level, have only acces to PHB divine spells plus divine core spells from non core books given by the meta org they belong to. Is it true ? And how can priests get acces to limited spells ? Thanks for yuur answers. Juanblan PS : sorry for my english, i'm a french player
Iswald 09-18-05, 11:29 PM	For all casters, only PHB spells are available until third level. The exception is domain spells which clerics are able to take in their domain slots only. At third level and higher all characters are able to use spells with core access regardless of the source (PHB, complete books, race books as long as they are listed as core in the LGCS). Wizards would still have to learn them. Clerics are able to select them to prepare. In order to use spells with limited access, you must have access from some source, typically an AR. But, meta-orgs work too. Note that meta-orgs are in the process of changing. You are able to take limited spells in your domain slots, but not your normal ones, as a cleric. You would still not be able to use NPC only or restricted spells as domain spells. Except for domain spells, you would still need to be at least third level to use spells that are limited.

I don't think the triads have been allowed to update meta-orgs since the rules were changed to allow clerics to access Complete Divine domains at 1st level. Ed
