| Amurayi01-25-08, 11:48 AM | Will there be an adaptable for "Expedition to Castle Greyhawk" with ARs and all? If so, when can we expect it? My players are itching to play the book with their RPGA chars. And we want to finish it before D&D 4.0 comes out. Any infos would be great! |
| bitznarf01-25-08, 11:49 AM | It won't be until after the rest of the CGR mods come out (I think), so you could use that as some sort of a benchmark. |
| Amurayi01-25-08, 12:04 PM | Then these should be published quickly now. I doubt my players will stick to an ol' v3.5 campaign when a shiny new rules set is out already. |
| Timlagor01-25-08, 12:44 PM | Just to clarify: yes we are told that there will be such an adaptation (starting at APL8 iirc) and it will need to be released by Origins at the latest (before the 4E release I believe) I'm far from convinced that 4E will be as successful as WotC would like myself. |
| Sieylianna01-26-08, 12:45 PM | I'm far from convinced that 4E will be as successful as WotC would like myself. I agree. Among the players in two home campaigns and a variety of living campaigns that I regularly game with, there is no one who is enthusiastic about 4e. No one. Most fall in the same category as me, in that we'll give it a try, but expect to remain with 3.5 for the forseeable future. Ed |
| Redfist01-26-08, 02:58 PM | Through introspection, it seems as though my priorities are (in order): 1. Living campaign format (works well for my schedule/travel). 2. The Greyhawk world. I've been playing Greyhawk for decades. 3. 3.5. I like the system, have bought a lot of books and since homegames don't work for me schedule-wise, would've loved to retain that investment in books. 4. 4.0. Meh. Necessary evil to get to #1 above. So for me, LFR means I get #1, fail on #2 and #3 and put up with #4. |
