I looked through the LG documentation to see if the ability scores get modified as the character ages. From what I can see they do not. Are there any RPGA campaigns where this happens? Can someone explain why this is not used in the campaign?

I've never seen one in which the age modifiers were used (though I haven't played all of them). My guess is that they're not used because it's fundamentally a cheap way to min-max a mental-oriented character...just make him old.

LGCS, page 10:A character may begin play at any age from adulthood to old age, as defined in the age section of Chapter 6: Description, in the PH. Age adjustments to ability scores are not used in the LIVING GREYHAWK campaign. The character may be of any height and weight allowed by the height and weight tables for the character’s race. And I agree with kenobi's assessment of why they are not/should not be allowed...

I had assumed this was the reason but then I saw a dnd advice website that had said that age should not modify the ability scores because of the dificulty in keeping up with when people age each time. So I wanted to find out if there was an official reason.
