| TWG_Prometheus03-31-06, 08:44 AM | I've read in some places that characters from outside the Bright Sands region in particular should make preparations for the rigors of that environment. What kinds of preparations would you recommend? Is there a gear and equipment 'kit' as such I could purchase and save in reserve for Bright Sands modules? (leaving it at home in other play) Just need to make sure my characters are fully mobile for when I want them to be. Thanks! ;) |

Thanks! ;) My advice purchase as many scrolls of Endure elements as you can afford. Make sure some are Arcane and some are divine. That makes it real easy to get the cleric/druid/wizard/sorcerer and so forth to help you out. |

| TWG_Prometheus03-31-06, 07:09 PM | So prep ahead of time with a few endure elements scrolls, some waterskins, and don't forget the shades. Maybe expect some other equpiment purchases at the beginning of the module. Got it. (Aaaaaah my money!) |

Also, believe that scrolls aren't Arcane or Divine any more. If it's on your list, you can cast them. And this is the place you really pay homage to the Warmage who took Leomunds Tiny Hut at 6th Lvl! (Cooler, protected ve sandstorms, etc). Without giving anything away that's not in the Player's Guide to Bright Lands... (See also Sandstorm, about pages 12-14)? As to kit - sun can blind, direct sun glare causes fatigue, sunburn etc. Just as in real life. Don't mind looking silly - you'll still be standing! My main was Clr 3/Warmage 3 when I did my first mod. So well protected, even in mithril armour. Cheers Paul H |

Scrolls are arcane or divine. None of my tables have had significant problems with the heat in the bright sands modules (I've played 4-5 of them), but that's with everyone in light or no armor. I don't think you'll run into major problems as long as you use common sense. Ed |
