Hello everyone,
After a long wait, finally those of you who braved Castle Greyhawk and left with ... unique experiences will know the ramifications of your actions. The actual certificates for these special circumstances will be available within the next month or so for download at www.wizards.com/rpga. You cannot derive any game benefit (or hinderance) from the quirks listed below until the certificate is available.

Item #1 - Red Fruit from the Tree of Sickness
You have chosen to partake of a shiny red piece of fruit that was found on a vile rotted tree beneath the bowels of Castle Greyhawk. The fruit you have consumed has awakened within you the power to remove sickness and disease from others, and keeps you hale, hearty, and full of life. You gain the following benefits:

- You are immune to natural diseases and illness. You are not immune to poisons or supernatural afflictions.
- You can remove disease once per week with a caster level equal to your character level. If you already can remove disease, you can do so one additional time per week. This is a supernatural ability.
- You gain a +2 sacred bonus to attack any creature that is known to spread disease, including agents of Incabulous, creatures that spread supernatural disease (such as mummies and lycanthropes), and anyone that has been proven to your knowledge to have spread sickness or illness of a lethal or dehabilitating variety.

Item #2 - Marked by Fate
You have braved a pool of deadly acid to retrieve one of the keys that Zagyg’s faithful sent you to return. The burning mark that the acid left never really healed completely, and you can feel a slight burning sensation whenever you are near one of the faithful of Zagyg, a disciple of Zagyg, or the True Disciple of Zagyg. This has the following benefits:

- Once per adventure, you may lend your strength to the strength of one of Zagyg’s faithful (a cleric, favored soul, etc. that worships Zagyg and derives divine power from their worship). As a standard action that provokes attacks of opportunity, you may channel the power of the mark to aid a turn/rebuke attempt (providing a +2 bonus) or give the caster of a divine spell +2 caster levels for one spell (this does not stack with any other caster level increase). You must touch the recipient of your gift, and the spell or turn/rebuke attempt must be made within one round. If you are a worshiper of Zagyg, you cannot use this ability on yourself. This is a supernatural ability.
- Once per adventure, you may lend your strength to the strength of one of Zagyg’s disciples (or the True Disciple). As a standard action that provokes attacks of opportunity, you may channel the power of the mark to allow the disciple to use either their Tasha’s hideous laughter ability or (in the case of the True Disciple) rod of wonder ability one additional time per day. You must touch the recipient of your gift, and they must use the ability within one round of your touch. If you are a disciple of Zagyg, you may also use your ability (see your disciple certificate) one additional time per day. This is a supernatural ability.

Item #3 - Embedded the Dragon Gemstone (Low Level)
You have chosen to embed in your forehead a gemstone that was previously affixed to the forehead of the red dragon Cinderwing. Ever since doing so, the flames of fiery destruction have danced within your dreams, calling you to their burning embrace. Eventually, you heeded their call, and one morning when you awoke, you realized the newfound power within you. The gemstone cannot be removed except upon your permanent death, upon which it crumbles to dust. You gain the following:

- You have a –2 circumstance penalty to Bluff and Diplomacy checks. Against red dragons or their agents, you instead have a +2 circumstance bonus to Bluff and Diplomacy checks.
- You have fire resistance 5. This is a supernatural quality.
- Once per day, as a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity, you can command a weapon you hold to burst into flames. The weapon gains the fiery burst property for a number of rounds equal to your character level. This is a supernatural ability.
- In your dreams, the flames speak to you the secrets of the ancients. One of the voices in the flames claims to be Cinderwing, urging you to listen to his guidance. You have access to the red dragon disciple prestige class (although you still must meet all other qualifications to attain levels in this prestige class).

Item #4 - Embedded the Dragon Gemstone (High Level)

- You have fire resistance 10. This is a supernatural quality.
- Twice per day, you may choose a spell from the list below and cast it as a spell-like ability. Your character level equals your caster level.
Spells: Resist energy (fire only), scorching ray, fireball, protection from energy (fire only), blast of flame (Complete Arcane).
- In your dreams, the flames speak to you the secrets of the ancients. One of the voices in the flames claims to be Cinderwing, urging you to listen to his guidance. You have access to the red dragon disciple prestige class (although you still must meet all other qualifications to attain levels in this prestige class).

Final Item - The True Disciple of Zagyg
After many months of divinations, prayer, and supplication, divine agents of Zagyg said, "To the Nine Hells with it" and played Pin the Tail on the Disciple. (Not really, but it was probably close to that.) One was chosen from the ranks, one who possessed the True Key of Zagyg, a key to open the doorway to the realm of eldritch madness. That adventurer's name is:

LORD KOR MAX

Played by: Rob Latimer

Rob participated in Castle Greyhawk at Gen Con UK. Congratulations ... I think. Rob, please email me for your certificate!

Thanks again to everyone for their patience, and in a short time, you should have your appropriate certificates in hand in time for the summer convention season!

Does the Fire Resistance from the Gem stack with Fire Resistance from another source such as Elemental Savant?

No. Resistances never stack. Use whatever value is better.
