I think you Circle guys have more important things to spend your time on.

It's definately something I would like to see. I loved those articles, and it would be a shame to not do them. Just like all the various cities you're doing now :)

I think it would be very cool and if put in the new Polyhedron, actually make that email worth reading. I would prefer if the Circle spent their time on getting documentation completed and modules released, though, so LGJs would be bad if they take away from what the Circle needs to get done for the campaign to continue moving forward.

Agreed. When you think about the delays in getting the Origins Specials released, the delays in the Deities document, how long it took to get the clarifications on Centaurs for Bright Sands, etc., I think that something like articles on City of Greyhawk need to be a lower priority. Definitely a nice-to-have, but only a nice-to-have.

As none of the authors of that series are Circle members, having them continue it wouldn't require any Circle resources.
Having them do it but not having it actively published, like Dragon magazine, or paid for, is likely another story. But I'm rather confident they would all be quite pleased to finish the series.

If articles like the proposed ones can be done without taking resources / attention away from campaign administration, I'd be all for it.

ok well then what are the things you'd like to see out soon?

the origins specials (both of them) are out of our hands right now. we are waiting for HQ to release them as far as i know they are there. maybe mines of the eye is still being tweaked but here there be dragons is there.

the deities document is coming along but i will ask again..anything else?

Actually, Here There Be Dragons showed up on the event-ordering system earlier this week, so there's one down.

High Level Campaign rules.

Updated writer's guidelines.

Updated metaorg rules.

It's not that I want to see more documentation created. I just want the modules to be released on schedule with enough warning for local conventions to plan for running them. The campaign is currently doing well in this regard (ignoring the specials), but I would hate to see that falter because their attention has been drawn elsewhere.

I'd like to see the Knights of the hart PrC's come out. Can't a web published article on the PrC's be done?

The City of Greyhawk articles are great. I think Erik Mona could publish them somehow :)

I agree with all of the above. Also, I would like to know if the Circle has agreed upon a time frame for the review of the next edition of the LGCS yet.

I don't think the high level campaign is supposed to start until GenCon of next year.

ok i have answers to most of these questions.

the next LGCS will be jan 1 of 2006.

the high level stuff. thats being worked on right now. its in the planning stages and it'll be a while before that should show up.

pretty much the same for the writers guidelines but should show up sooner (i hope) as thats being worked on as i type this. believe me i'm wanting those to come out soon too.

the meta-org stuff has been done for quite some time (there is a few things that i need to tweak but its minor) but the triads have had the meta-orgs for a while now and you should start to see some of the new orgs coming out in the next month or two.

Many thanks for the interest in our work! There's little that Erik and I would like more then to continue the series but a variety of things conspired to prevent that after those initial LGJ articles. A big part of that was that we are both incredibly busy for various reasons (for example, both of our careers underwent major changes for the better). But yes part of it is a change in company policies and attitudes towards Greyhawk, a big reason was a change in the format of our original publishing avenue for the series (the merging of the LGJ into Dragon), and a variety of other reasons I rather not get in to.

For lack of other suitable venue at the current time, as I get the time (tough to find), I have always intended to continue development of the City of Greyhawk on my own website, in the format in which I've done Eridok's shop at http://melkot.com/locations/cogh/eridok.html as a series of webpages, a format through which I can have alot more detail then the magazine could ever allow and include stuff like maps. I'll have details (including an interior map) of Maldin's shop up soon, hopefully in time to accompany the next Dragon Magazine (where his shop will be mentioned). I'm still trying to convince Erik to contribute to the City of Greyhawk section of my website, as a co-author of the original series. ;-) So far he's keeping himself far too busy doing necessary stuff to spend time on freebee stuff.

Anyways, keep an eye out for more stuff on my website in the future. If the RPGA would like to talk about other options, they (and the Circle) have my email. ;-)

Edit: The shop page is up now, although I may add more to it in near future.

the knights of the hart hopefully will come up sometime. i have no idea though honestly as its kinda gotten lost in the shuffle. i wish it would b/c the knights of veluna one i wrote was pretty cool (though now i doubt you could complete all 10 levels in LG with the retirement but thats ok since it would techncially encompass not just LG but also people who just play greyhawk)

thanks...I was hoping that Erik Mona could publish the PrC in Dragon or something with the LG approved stamp on the article.
