Cloaks for sorcerers? [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-27-04, 11:38 AM My sorcerer wants an item to bump charisma and one to bump saves.

The only items I see that do this are both cloaks. Is there any way it can get one that isn't a cloak (nor an amulet as she has one). Thanks!

05-27-04, 02:33 PM Charisma for cloak, and then either a vest of resistance or an ioun stone of resistance would probably be your best method.

Not trying to be vague, just honest. You'll see Ioun stones on ARs after you've finished hacking.

Obviously, as has been pointed out, telling you which ones would be a spoiler and no-one should really be giving you that info.

Also we're from different regions so my ARs are totally different to yours so at least 50% of the scenarios I've played you are unlikely to.

Get out there, fight the good fight and go loot some is the best advice I can offer to be honest. :)

05-30-04, 11:05 PM I've not seen ever seen access to either an ioun stone or a vest of resistance.

That said, the more recent modules seem to be increasing the availability of such items, so you may well get lucky.

06-01-04, 01:20 PM I've seen both on different AR's (although not both on the same). My secondary character bought the vest. My primary character never had the opportunity, but he already wears a vest of escape anyway.

I've seen both on AR's. The vest is much cheaper and I'm not sure whether the ioun stone can be upgraded past +1, so the vest is preferable.
