Hey - I'm relatively new to DnD *and* to the Living Greyhawk campaign, so forgive me if this is a stupid question...

Is there any Feat in Living Greyhawk that allows you to take a cross-class skill as in-class (such as Intimidation for Clerics or a Knowledge skill for Fighters), or is there any other method of changing or adding skills which are considered in-class for your character?

Trying to work out the best way to put together my concept. it ain't easy.

Thanks!

The only feat I'm aware of that does what you're looking for is Cosmopolitan. Unfortuantely, it's not a Living Greyhawk-legal feat (it's actually from the Forgotten Realms books). It's possible that there's some other feat that does roughly the same thing, but I'm not familiar with it.

There are a few clerical domains that have granted powers that make a particular skill a class skill (for instance, the Animal domain gives you Knowledge (nature) as a class skill).

Short of a feat, the only other option I can see for you is to multiclass into a class that has the skill you want as a class skill. For example, if you want a Cleric who's good at Intimidate, multiclass into a class that has it as a class skill (such as Rogue). This'll increase your maximum ranks in the skill to (character level+3). The drawback is that, when you gain levels as a cleric, you still have to buy ranks in Intimidate at the cross-class rate (i.e., 2 skill points for 1 rank), because it's still cross-class for clerics.

The one feat that I can think of which does this and is legal in Living Greyhawk is "Well Read". This feat makes all knowledge skills class skills.

This is a limited feat which is found in Dragon 315 and can be taken at first level by characters of various regions. Please refer to the table on page 11 of the LGCS for regions which can take it as a feat.

Darn. I played KotOR (which, I know, is based off the d20 rules) and hoped that Feat carried over.

Ah, well, guess I'm going to have to work harder'n I thought to get this Cleric all scary-lookin'.

Thinking ahead, you might want to note that the Sacred Exorcist Prestige Class (from Complete Divine) has Intimidate as a class skill. You would have to meet the Pre-Reqs, of course, but it is a class that works well after straight Cleric (you go on Turning at full strength, for example).

Just FYI, while Sacred Exorcist is a "Core" Prestige Class in Living Greyhawk, it does have a special requirement for entry into the class (I don't have my books in front of me, so I can't quote it exactly). According to the LGCS, "The special requirement must be met through a metaorg that specifically grants it or through your local triad." So, I'd suggest looking into what that would take before you build too much towards that PrC.

The character's lawful neutral, anyway - despises evil outsiders like demons and stuff, but he sometimes commits... sacrifices in order to get rid of 'em. If, by any chance, my character winds up becoming LG, I'll definitely look into ways to get that prestige class.

Now if only Planar Turning wasn't an epic feat...

Races of Destiny has a couple of feats that add class skills, though I am not sure which are allowed in LG. Also, the Knowledge, Trickery, and Travel domains add class skills to a cleric, or to a character who takes one level in cleric (though they would only be bonus class skills for cleric levels).
