| _metz_02-16-07, 09:32 PM | Pits of Azak Zil is a special part of the Bright Sands Arc and as such is available for home gaming. Note Specials are not available for online gaming. Traditionally the GenCon special is not released for home play so doesn't look good if you missed out on Shadows of a Dread Spiral. |

There are traditionally 3 Core Specials a year: - One premiering at Winter Fantasy / D&D Experience (usually CORS X-01) - One premiering at Origins (usually CORS X-02) - One premiering at GenCon Indy (usually CORS X-03) The DDXP and GC Core Specials, in the past few years, have been part of the Extended Premiere program, meaning that they are also made available to the handful of conventions in different regions which participate in that program. Beyond that, those modules are typically not ever released for more general play (other conventions, game days, or home play). The "Origins" Core Special has traditionally been handled differently. Before 2006, that module would only be available in its original form at Origins; later on, the Circle would release a rewritten version, available for home play only. Last year (2006), the Origins Core Special was simply made generally available. |
