Hello,

Is there any chance that the borders for regions be dropped. I would love to play some Yoemanry mods here in the principality of Ulek. Since TU's are going to be droped. I would love to play mods from other regions. Is there any chance of this happening. Greyhawk is coming to an end. I don't see why not.:)

Yes! I concur. They should open up all the regions and let folks try out some new areas. What would be the harm in it now?

I'm torn on this.

On one hand, I'd like to play some of the mods i've heard talk of for far off lands. I'm sure my rogue would love messing with the Pale >_>

On the other, though, It kind of ruins things. I'm able to sneak up to highfolk for one Con a year, and that makes it all the more special, opening up everything like that kinda dampens that.

One suggestion I've heard spoken of on the boards that I think might be a good middle path is to allow cons a certain number of Open Fiesta slots. That way it keeps a special quality, but actually lets stuff become available.

Another middle ground would be to open up cross regional play but only if run by someone from the mod's region. So for example when I head down to California for my friend's wedding I could bring a Duchy of Urnst mod or three to run for them.

Interesting idea, Istaran. But, Regional modules can now be played online so long as all players are within that region. But, that begs the question, why not allow judges from a given region to run modules from their region online to anybody? Let us get some mad play from Verbobonc, Iuz, the Pale, Duchy, County, and all that jazz.

That is my opinion at least.

FYI - Why has the circle made it such that year 6 core and adaptable modules do not retire until the end of 2008, yet regionals and metaregionals are still forcibly retired?!

Opening regions conpels me to play and run more LG. I don't see why this would be a bad for LG.

I concur, opening all regions for the last months of LG would be great. I'd love to get my Cleric 7 up to 15 for the last hurrah, and regions, cores, and the limited travel I can do won't get me remotely close.

I understand the purpose and reason for the region restritions, but with the campaign coming to an end I don't see any harm in dropping the restrictions of module play due to locale.

In addition, half the players AND the DM must be at one physical location.

Really, the only difference to regional/metaregionals from before is that you can now have half the players joining in on a regular face-to-face table via internet or phone.
