| Mekorig11-01-05, 09:03 PM | There is any way to see the current situation of the Flaness has a whole. IS there any coordination betwen meta-regions? I have seen bits of info, like a civil war in Nyrond, and a war in Veluna, but nothing enough complete to givo you a firm vision of the situation to 595. I think its tme for a new Living Greyhawk Gazzetter, isnt? |

Well as most adventures that came out this year, can be played till the end of the next year, no hard facts could be confirmed about the situation in the various regions, without spoiling the fun of the LG players! Though I would like to see a new LGG somewhere in the future, I doubt it would be wise to set one up until the end of the campaign (whenever that will be...) |
| Mekorig11-02-05, 05:42 AM | Well, not necesarry until 595, but until a year that give you a better perspective. For example: When "The Childrens of the Dust" triology came out, it has some background about "ether ghost2 turning Tenh into a wasteland. When happens that? in what year? Thats an example on why we need and update n the current history of Greyhawk. |
| qstor11-02-05, 12:22 PM | Though I would like to see a new LGG somewhere in the future, I doubt it would be wise to set one up until the end of the campaign (whenever that will be...) WOTC has said time and again that they aren't publishing anything for Greyhawk again. So apart from web articles we aren't going to get a new LGG or a Greyhawk hardback. Not that I wouldn't *LOVE* to see either. I'd buy 2 in fact. Mike |
| Mekorig11-02-05, 05:11 PM | Put aside the theme of new Greyhawk books, has Qdstor siad, WOTC has state that they dont will to release new Greyhawk material. Has a side note, i have heard things like that form other companies, and none has keep it promise. :P To the issue of this post is, where i can find a good recopilation of the current (since 591 to the current year) history of Greyhawk? |
| kenobi6511-02-05, 11:20 PM | To the issue of this post is, where i can find a good recopilation of the current (since 591 to the current year) history of Greyhawk? In one place? I doubt you'll find it anywhere. Each triad is in charge of its own region. Some do a pretty good job of creating some sort of historical recap document regarding retired modules, some don't. If you cruise the regional web sites, you'll likely find a fair amount of this kind of information, on a region by region basis. In theory, the Circle of Six could pull all of those summaries together, and put out some sort of overall summary...but, given the other tasks they have to do, I'd have to imagine that that summary would be pretty low on the priority list. (And, just FYI, it'd be summaries from 591-593 that could be released at the moment without "spoiling" currently-playable modules. 594 modules retire at the end of this year.) |
| solbergb11-04-05, 01:41 PM | www.theocracyofthepale.com has summaries of their year1-3 adventures, with official campaign results and such. I believe it's found on the "Scenarios" page. This is because of a recent volunteer effort by one of the triad members. Other regions may or may not have such things. Most I think do what we used to do in the Pale, just release incharacter news events that are saved on their web pages. |
| TimRat11-05-05, 11:30 PM | yes some regions have released what has happened in their regions on their web pages. with year 4 adventures retiring you may see some of those coming online towards the spring of next year. but thats about the only way you'll see something 'compiled'. |
| Nidome11-07-05, 09:49 PM | I don't know if any of you have read the article on Scant: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=lg/lgmp/20051101a Well, it's now out of date..... Two days ago the Free Onnwal Army and it's allies assaulted the city. Liberation was almost complete when an explosion, believed to be a volcano ripped apart part of the city, fortuately the Szek had been forwarned and managed to withdraw his army from the city in time. The few remaining Scarlet Brotherhood forces that remained appear to have not had the same fortune. Scant is destroyed and Onnwal is Liberated! Attention must surely be turned now to the ancient evil Ur Flannae legacies in the headlands of Onnwal and the Tal Marith under the ruins of Scant? No doubt, official information will be forthcoming..... |

| pauln611-08-05, 09:01 AM | I agree that some websites have been really good at updates. Geoff produced a proper historical timeline to include recent major events and the Onnwal guys have always proved very willing and effective at posting updates. However, I'm trying to draft an international gazeteer for my own campaign and reviewing every website regularly is an absolute nightmare! It would be so cool if the triads or even those who had played in the mods put out some info in he timeline format with dates and the outcomes of key historical events like civil wars, assassinations of monarchs, treaties etc - after all I always thought that was the whole point of Living Greyhawk - for the whole world to live and breathe because the fans make it so. :) I stumbled across this site http://www.tovagbaragu.com/ which looks like an ideal place for triads or fans to post stuff :D Don't be shy! |
